What is Quality Assurance and how does it help me?In a nutshell, protection during construction.
Quality Assurance is the process of examining aspects of a product or service before
and during creation and evaluating if that particular part meets
minimum requirements for your project, product or country.
At QAS we do not supervise the project we review critical portions of the installation before the contractor is allowed on the site to work.
We review the procedures used to install items to ensure competence in workmanship, thus substantially lowering the amount of faulty or
incompetent workmanship done.
The review of plumbing, electrical and finish
are standard that many in the private sector take
for granted but over the years we have finds flaws in almost every aspect of the building process regardless
of the reputation proceeding the contractor.
That said we are not a arm chair engineering consultancy. We are in the field as well reviewing the process that was told to us by the contractor, installer etc to ensure compliance with relative criteria.
After many years of service in the industry we have found that most contractors and their site supervisors do not review most internal items properly leaving to the subcontractors or workers the task of proper installation of steel, concrete, glues, appliances, plumbing etc. Only
concentrating on the finish items such as doors, windows, tiling and paint which the customer sees, leaving obvious gaping holes in the supervisory process.
